Logan’s newest low-cost carrier will let kids fly free

Traveling as a family can be awesome. It also can cost a whole lot. So it’s big news that Logan Airport’s newest low-cost carrier announced earlier this week that it will offer free flights for kids.
Frontier Airlines, which announced earlier this month that it will operate nonstop routes to two U.S. cities out of Logan Airport starting this spring, will allow a child under the age of 15 to fly for free with a paying adult on select flights. In order to get the free flights, parents must become members of Frontier’s travel club, called Discount Den.
A membership to Discount Den costs $59.99 per year. The kids fly free deal applies only to domestic flights and cannot be used on international flights, and applies to airfare only and not baggage fees, according to the terms and conditions.
Frontier has listed select dates when families can take advantage of the program, and expects to add more, according to the company.
Logan travelers can book nonstop flights from Boston to Orlando International Airport in Orlando, Fla. starting April 19, as well as nonstop flights to Raleigh-Durham International Airport in Morrisville, N.C. starting May 1.
