Logan International Airport’s largest carrier is impressing travelers.
As part of Travel + Leisure magazine’s annual World’s Best Awards, the publication released its list of the five best domestic airlines in the U.S. earlier this month. Readers determined that the top domestic airline was Virgin America, which was recently acquired by Alaska Airlines (ranked No. 3) and completed its final flight in April. JetBlue, which is Logan’s largest carrier, ranked No. 2.
“Above all, attentive staffers and robust loyalty programs remain the yardsticks that fliers use to compare airlines,” the publication wrote. “Both contributed to JetBlue maintaining its No. 2 position for nine years in a row.”
T+L readers also lauded JetBlue staffers for being sensitive to the medical needs of families who fly with them, according to the publication.
The 2018 World’s Best travel survey was available to readers at tlworldsbest.com from Nov. 6, 2017 to March 5, 2018. Participants scored airlines based on cabin comfort, in-flight service, customer service, and value. A numerical score was determined based on those ratings, and T+L tabulated the results with research firm M&RR.
