Here’s how far you can drive from Boston with $50 worth of gas
This map details your affordable road trip options.
Though you probably don’t want to be driving around outside today, you can dream about your next road trip, especially since gas prices are still dropping all across New England.
Based on price estimates from Gas Buddy, cost-info site HowMuch.net calculated how far you can get from a few top cities with $50 worth of gas. The maps assume your car gets about 24 miles per gallon, so be warned that your mileage may vary.
Still, there’s a lot of land you can cover with just $50—from North all the way past Maine and into Canada to a south-bound trip through Washington, D.C., Virginia Beach, and the eastern corner of North Carolina.
Check out the full map below to start planning (but don’t forget to factor in the cost of road trip snacks). Your romantic weekend getaway can be both cheap and classy.
