JetBlue is cutting a route between Boston and this southern city
Impacted customers will receive a full refund.
JetBlue is cutting a seasonal route between Boston and North Carolina.
The New York-based airline, a leading carrier at Logan Airport, is discontinuing service between Boston and Asheville, North Carolina. The route, which was supposed to resume in May, was launched in 2022 and part of a schedule expansion first announced in 2021.
“The route has not met our performance expectations,” JetBlue officials wrote in a statement.
JetBlue is closing down the Asheville operation to “focus on routes where we can sustainably win,” wrote the airline. Impacted customers will receive a full refund to their original form of payment.
Asheville, in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, offers hiking, biking, scenic views, art-filled streets, independent shops, and was recently named one of the best beer cities in America.
