Due to “overwhelming demand” from New England Patriots fans, JetBlue has increased service out of Boston for the AFC Championship game in Denver on Sunday.
JetBlue, a leading carrier at Logan Airport, has added more flights between Logan and Denver International Airport this weekend. The Patriots will play the Denver Broncos at 3 p.m. for a chance to advance to their 12th Super Bowl.
The airline added more flights on Friday, with a return flight from Denver to Boston on Monday. The carrier will also fly a larger Airbus A321 on an existing roundtrip flight between Boston and Denver.
“As the official airline of the New England Patriots, we’re responding to strong demand from the region’s amazing fans by adding flights between Boston and Denver,” said Marty St. George, president of JetBlue, in a statement. “Pats fans travel with passion, and we’re proud to help bring that energy to this pivotal game.”
Fans flying JetBlue elsewhere this Sunday can watch the game in the air through the airline’s seatback screens or by streaming it on personal devices using the airline’s free, high-speed Wi-Fi, airline officials noted.
Travelers heading to Denver for the game can book their flights on jetblue.com.
