An airport in America’s smallest state is getting big recognition this year.
Conde Nast Traveler released its list of the 10 best airlines in the U.S. on Tuesday, part of its 38th Annual Readers’ Choice Awards, and Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport ranked No. 8.
Here is what Conde Nast Traveler wrote about TF Green International Airport:
Rhode Island’s T.F. Green Airport gets kudos from fliers as a “great little airport” that’s easy to reach and to navigate: More than two-thirds of New England’s population lives within a 75-minute drive of the Providence airfield. Long favored by budget carriers as a less expensive alternative to Boston Logan, the airport has been growing steadily in recent years and is well-positioned to benefit from a resurgence in domestic air travel. Next year, in fact, PVD will become a hub for the new Breeze Airways, with 44 weekly departures expected by 2027.
“We come in this year at 8th best in the country, and the only ranked airport in New England. Thank you for all your support! We can’t wait to see you at the airport,” wrote airport officials on Facebook.
The No. 1 airport is Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport.
This year, Conde Nast Traveler readers cast 757,109 votes for the annual awards, determining the very best in hotels, resorts, spas, airlines, and more worldwide. The results will be featured in the magazine’s November issue.
Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport recently announced it will offer limited international flights on Breeze Airways next year, including a weekly flight to Cancun, Mexico. The eight-week trial route will launch in February.
Earlier this year, Travel + Leisure readers named T.F. Green the No. 1 airport in America during its 2025 World’s Best Awards.
