Live music debuts at Logan Airport
Massport hopes live music will reduce travel related stress.

“Live Music at Logan,” a partnership between Massport and the Mass Cultural Council, debuted this week at Logan International Airport. The purpose of the program is “to help reduce travel related stress,” according to a Massport press release.
The pilot program, which launched on July 1, brings local professional musicians and college students to the baggage claims of Terminals B and C for live performances. Local musicians will perform a diverse lineup of music, according to Massport, and enhance the passenger experience.
“Boston is lucky to have several colleges and universities with fantastic music programs, and students will be able to showcase their talents for the millions of people who travel through Boston Logan and potentially land more paid gigs,” wrote Massport.

Musicians are compensated for their performances, according to Massport, and local musicians are encouraged to apply.
The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) owns and operates Logan International Airport, as well as public terminals in the Port of Boston, Hanscom Field, and Worcester Regional Airport.
