Delta Air Lines is launching new nonstop flights to Barcelona and Milan from Boston this week.
The airline’s nonstop Barcelona route, taking off for the first time on Thursday, is offered three times a week. The nonstop Milan route, which begins on Friday, will be offered four times a week.
“Delta has been an excellent partner to Logan for many years and we are thrilled about their new routes to Milan and Barcelona as part of their trans-Atlantic expansion in summer 2025,” said Ed Freni, director of aviation for Massport, in a statement when the the new routes were first announced last fall. “These new services will provide our passengers with more travel opportunities and further strengthen our ties between New England and the many regions of Europe.”
Boston travelers on the inaugural flights are experiencing gate-side celebratory send-offs at Logan Airport that include festive decor, cultural entertainment, and refreshments.
The routes are part of Delta’s largest-ever transatlantic summer schedule, announced last year.
Last month, Delta announced it will resume service between Boston and St. Thomas this holiday season after a three-year pause. The daily nonstop service will run between Dec. 20 and Jan. 5, 2026.
Delta offers more than 160 peak-day departures to 63 destinations at Logan Airport, including 13 international cities.
