When it comes to air travel, the economy cabin of JetBlue is miles above the rest, according to The Points Guy.
The travel website posted the winners of its The Points Guy Awards 2024 on Monday and JetBlue was named the best economy class for the fifth time. The airline, Logan Airport‘s largest carrier, has been the sole winner of the award since its inception.
Here is why JetBlue won the award, according to The Points Guy:
Those extra-legroom seats pay serious long-term dividends for the airline when it comes to passengers looking for the best economy experience. To put numbers to it, JetBlue has an industry-leading 32.3 inches of legroom, even in the regular economy seats. Throw in free Wi-Fi and better-than-average snack and meal choices, and we had a clear winner.
“Competitors have tried time and again to replicate the JetBlue experience, but customers know that our exceptional onboard product, paired with the outstanding service of our crewmembers, is truly hard to match,” said Jayne O’Brien, JetBlue’s head of marketing and customer support, in a statement. “Being recognized by The Points Guy—a trusted name in travel—reinforces our commitment to delivering great service at low fares and proves the experience we provide to customers searching for travel, including to Europe, surpasses other carriers.”
JetBlue says its Even More Space extra legroom seat will have “enhanced amenities and perks” in 2025. More details about the new product, called EvenMore, will be announced in the coming weeks.
In September, JetBlue announced that customers who purchase the airline’s cheapest fare class can bring a carry-on bag for free and also that a JetBlue lounge is coming to Logan Airport in 2025. JetBlue, named among the 10 best airlines of 2024 by USA Today readers, is expanding in New England.
