Boston travelers can sip port wine in the city famous for it after hopping a new flight on Tap Air Portugal in 2025.
Tap Air Portugal is launching a nonstop seasonal route from Boston to Porto, Portugal’s second-largest city, this spring. The service will run from May 14 to October 25.
Travelers will fly on an Airbus A321-LR aircraft and the service will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays. The airline also announced seasonal routes between Los Angeles and Lisbon and San Francisco and Terceira in the Azores.
“We’re tremendously excited to announce new service from Logan to Porto, LAX to Lisbon and SFO to the Azores” said Carlos Antunes, TAP’s director for the Americas, in a statement. “Los Angeles will become TAP’s eighth US gateway. And, of course, all three new routes include our popular Portugal Stopover program where you can enjoy up to 10 days in Portugal enroute to any of our destinations in Europe, or on the way home, for no additional airfare.”
Fares for the Boston to Porto route start at $529 roundtrip, if purchased by December 17.
Tap Air Portugal celebrates its 80th anniversary in 2025 and began service between Portugal and the U.S. in 1969. The airline currently flies from seven U.S. cities: Boston, Chicago, New York, Miami, Newark, San Francisco, and Washington D.C.
