Spirit Airlines is beefing up service at Logan Airport this summer.
The Florida-based low-cost carrier announced five new daily, nonstop routes between Boston and Chicago, Columbus, Detroit, Kansas City, and Pittsburgh on Friday.
These routes are in addition to the airline’s previously announced new service from Boston to Charleston, Dallas, Houston, and Norfolk, which begin on April 10.
The Chicago, Detroit, Columbus, and Pittsburgh flights begin on June 5 and the Kansas City flights begin on July 10. The Detroit flight is a resuming flight.
Earlier this year, Spirit Airlines announced it is suspending operations at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport in Manchester, N.H. in May.
Spirit and JetBlue ended their proposed $3.8 billion merger agreement in March after a court ruling blocked the deal.
The new flights are available now on spirit.com.
