Get Southwest flights for up to 30% off, but travelers must act fast

Southwest is inviting travelers to “leap in” to a 30% off sale on flights this week, which ends on Thursday — Leap Day.

The airline’s Splash sale, which launched Tuesday and ends Thursday at 11:59 p.m. PT, takes up to 30% off base fares good for travel between March 19 and May 22. The sale applies to one-way or round trip Wanna Get Away and Wanna Get Away Plus fares.

The sale is for continental U.S. travel and takes 30% off flights on Tuesday and Wednesday, 25% off flights on Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and 20% off flights on Sunday. 

Seats and days are limited and restrictions and exclusions apply. The discount is applied before government taxes and fees, according to the airline, and travelers should note the following blackout dates: March 23-24, March 30-31, and April 6-7.

The sale applies to new reservations only and Orange County and Intra-California travel is excluded from the deal. Interested travelers can use the promotion code SPLASH.
