New England really shines in the fall and USA Today readers couldn’t agree more, naming two regional farms the best in America.

The publication released a list of the 10 best apple orchards in America and the 10 best corn mazes in America on Wednesday, part of its 2025 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, and named Lyman Orchards in Middlefield, Conn. the best apple orchard in the nation and Treworgy Family Orchards in Levant, Maine the best corn maze.

About the family-run Lyman Orchards, which sits on 100 acres with 30,000 apple trees, USA Today wrote, in part, “From August to November, you can pick from 27 different varieties, ranging from Ida Red to Crispin to Pink Lady. There’s also a farm market with cider donuts and pies, plus a huge corn maze, and a 45-hole championship golf course.”

Two more New England apple orchards made the list: Red Apple Farm in Phillipston, Mass. ranked No. 2 and Bishop’s Orchards in Guilford, Conn. ranked No. 6.

For those who enjoy getting lost in a corn maze, it doesn’t get any better than Treworgy Family Orchards, according to USA Today.

“Home to the longest continually running corn maze in the state, Treworgy Family Orchards’ maze covers over 4 acres and consists of 60,000 corn plants grown to a height of 10 feet,” wrote USA Today. “Guests who find the center of the maze can enjoy signing their names to the Hall of Fame Board.”

Another regional farm made that list: Davis Mega Maze in Sterling, Mass. ranked No. 6.
