David Ortiz lying on beach: ‘This is my spring training’

As if we needed any more evidence that David Ortiz is not planning a comeback from retirement anytime soon.

Red Sox pitchers and catchers reported to spring training last week. Big Papi reported to the beach.

“So good to be retired,” Ortiz says, in a selfie video he posted Sunday afternoon to Twitter and Instagram.

“This is my spring training,” the retired slugger later adds. “How ’bout that?”

Not that he’s too far away from his former team. As the Red Sox train in Fort Myers, it looks like Ortiz is hanging out in Miami.
