Condé Nast Traveler has revealed its annual readers’ choice for the best U.S. airline, and this year’s winner is JetBlue Airways.
The publication credits JetBlue’s affordable fares as well as its emphasis on comfort — including a premium class section featuring flat-bed sleeper seats, a coach section with new seats, and more legroom throughout the plane. JetBlue’s free Wi-Fi delivers one of the fastest internet connections in the sky, according to the publication. The airline also added 24 new winter routes to destinations like Florida, the Caribbean, and Mexico, Condé Nast wrote.
The list comes amid airlines’ attempted recovery from a COVID-19 pandemic that brought the industry to its knees earlier in the year.
The publication’s 33rd annual Readers’ Choice Awards found the same carriers in the top-five spots as in 2019. The rest of the Top 5 are:
5. Southwest Airlines
4. Delta Air Lines
3. Alaska Airlines
2. Hawaiian Airlines
