The Dubai-based airline will fly to Logan International Airport beginning Aug. 15. Prior to that, the airline will resume flights to Geneva July 15, Los Angeles July 22, Dar es Salaam Aug. 1, and Prague and Sao Paulo Aug. 2. The flights will increase the airline’s network to 58 cities worldwide by the middle of August. Before the global health crisis, Emirates flew to more than 150 destinations.

“We’ve seen an uptick in customer interest and demand since the announcement of Dubai’s re-opening, and also with the increased travel options that we offer as we gradually re-establish our network connectivity,” said Adnan Kazim, chief commercial officer for Emirates, in a press release. “We continue to work closely with all stakeholders to resume flight operations while ensuring that all necessary measures to safeguard the health and safety of our customers and employees are in place.”

Those traveling to Dubai should have an international travel insurance policy covering COVID-19 for the duration of their stay, according to the airline.

“Customers are reminded that travel restrictions remain in place, and travelers will only be accepted on flights if they comply with the eligibility and entry criteria requirements of their destination countries,” wrote the airline.

All passengers boarding Emirates flights whose travel originates in one of the following U.S. airports must have proof of a negative COVID-19 test issued not more than 96 hours before travel by a government-approved laboratory, according to the airline: Dallas Fort Worth International Airport; George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston; Los Angeles International Airport; San Francisco International Airport; Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida; and Orlando International Airport; and all passengers originating in California, Florida, or Texas and connecting onto an Emirates flight to Dubai International Airport in Dubai.
