Waterfront hotels make ideal summertime getaways and two in New England just ranked among the best in the U.S.
USA Today released a list of the 10 best waterfront hotels in the U.S. on Wednesday, part of its 2025 10Best Readers’ Choice Awards, and Chatham Bars Inn in Chatham ranked No. 2 and Madison Beach Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton in Madison, Conn. ranked No. 4.
“Whether by a lake or overlooking the sea, there’s something special about vacationing near water,” wrote USA Today, noting that the picks on its list “set the scene for a memorable and relaxing vacation.”
The publication called Cape Cod’s Chatham Bars Inn a “classic New England destination.”
“With 25 landscaped acres, poolside and beachfront cabanas and lounges, cottages, and five on-site dining options, there’s a lot to enjoy,” wrote USA Today. “Settle into an Adirondack chair, stroll into town, or get out on the water to watch the whales.”
