A dazzling winter wonderland is opening up in Charlestown’s Hood Park on Dec. 5. Visitors can celebrate the snowy season at Winter Fest with ice skating, light displays, live entertainment, and plenty of festive food and drink.
This all-new experience intends to bring cheer for the whole family. The festival features an artisan marketplace, a toy workshop, a life-size ice castle and gingerbread house, weekend meet-and-greets with Santa, and the Après Ski Veuve Clicquot Gondola Lounge.
“We set out to create an experience that feels like you’re stepping into a storybook, where every corner brings a new moment of magic,” event creative director Carl Rugato said in a statement.
With twinkling lights and decor galore, Winter Fest is the spot to get photos with family, friends, and loved ones this season.
Festivities begin with the lighting of a 32-foot-tall Christmas tree. Local performers will take the stage to present beloved holiday classics as guests explore the magical park. Select beers and wines will be available, as well as delicious hot chocolate with customized toppings like crushed peppermint or marshmallows.
Winter Fest runs until Jan. 25. Ticket and event details can be found on the event’s website.
