Public nosiness is encouraged at the “It’s a date” comedy dating show on Jan 22. Let’s set the scene: Four blindfolded singles take the stage and let their charms do the seducing, while the audience throws in spicy questions to stir the pot. The crowd then votes on who they think is the perfect match, and that couple will win a second date outside of the show (planned and paid for by “It’s A Date”). (Wednesday, Jan. 22 from 7 to 9 p.m.; 60 State St., Boston; $27)
Mingle Mayhem is hosting a table talk dating event at Rosebed Indian-American Bar & Kitchen on Jan. 22 that claims to be equal parts chaos and connection. Instead of awkward speed dating prompts, expect an evening of games and twists designed to get you laughing, competing, and bonding over unique activities that spark genuine interactions. A drink ticket is included! (Wednesday, Jan. 22 from 7 to 9 p.m.; 381 Summer St., Somerville; $30)
If eating healthier is one of your New Year’s resolutions, take this event as a sign that you’re doing great, sweetie! On the menu: Blueberry muffins and Maine Grains oat cups. (Thursday, Jan. 23 from 3 to 5 p.m.; 1075 Cambridge St., Cambridge; $32)
Porsha Olayiwola’s six-year tenure as Boston’s Poet Laureate may be coming to an end. Not joking! Company One Theatre’s production of “Haunted,” a new Indigenous horror comedy featuring Y2K hits, kicks off its pay-what-you-want run at the BPL on Jan. 24. The premise: The ghosts of Indigenous siblings pass their time dancing to Britney Spears, haunting the families that try to move into their house, and wondering if they’ll ever be free from the shackles of racist stereotypes and make it to the spirit world. (Friday, Jan. 24 through Saturday, Feb. 15; multiples times; 700 Boylston St., Boston; pay what you want)
Mei Mei Dumplings is celebrating the Lunar New Year and its factory’s 2nd birthday with a bottomless dumpling party on Jan. 25. From lemongrass pork to cheeseburger, the dumpling buffet will be stacked with all of their signature dumplings, sauces, and sides. Bonus: Expect some Lunar New Year prizes, too. Tickets sell out quickly, so get on it! (Saturday, Jan. 25; multiple times; 58 Old Colony Ave., South Boston; $28.88)
This is a big week for women’s sports. On Jan. 21, see Northeastern and Boston University fight for this year’s Women’s Beanpot championship title at TD Garden. Then on Jan. 25, head over to Harvard’s Bright-Landry Hockey Center for its National Girls and Women in Sports Day celebration. Watch Harvard’s women’s hockey team take on Cornell, listen in on a women in sports business panel, and hit the ice for a postgame free skate. (Multiple dates, locations, and times)
Dray Drinks, Boston’s non-alcoholic bottle shop, recently opened its second location in Cambridge’s Central Square. It’s now ready to ring in its opening with a grand opening party on Jan. 25, equipped with free NA bev tasting, music, and a few fun surprises. (Saturday, Jan. 25 from 12 to 8 p.m; 5 Columbia St., Cambridge; free)

It doesn’t hurt you’ll be right next to a slew of food and drinks options, either. (Saturday, Jan. 25 from 12 to 5 p.m; 401 Park Dr., Boston; free)
