Brato Brewhouse + Kitchen celebrates two years in Brighton with Brato Spirit Week

From Mac and Cheese Monday to Bar Pie Friday, there will be plenty of beer flowing, too.

Two years ago, Brato Brewhouse + Kitchen opened in Brighton after years of brand-building through pop-ups at breweries and beer collaborations. Little did the founders know, Brato’s days of innovating on the fly were just beginning. After a few early months in business, the pandemic closed the brewpub for indoor dining. Brato pivoted to takeout, offering enticing weekly specials; co-hosting virtual beer dinners with brewery friends across Massachusetts; and even launching a taco truck at fellow brewery Night Shift Owl’s Nest Esplanade beer garden. To celebrate two years of its Brighton location, Brato Spirit Week pays homage to the best of these pivots—and the community that helped them survive through it all. The weeklong feast and festival features different menu specials every day, from Mac and Cheese Flight Monday to Bar Pie + Beer Release Friday (Supper Club Sunday is already sold out for Spirit Week’s Halloween edition, but Brato fans should save the date Nov.21 for Friendsgiving Supper Club). Taco Truck Tuesday welcomes the beloved Owl’s Nest food truck to Brato’s Brighton patio for the first time, with full-service birria tacos and more. Wednesday Wing Night flies in with dim sum-style roving service; and Thursday introduces a new Brato concept, a globally inspired Dumpling Flight Night. Show up on Saturday for an Anniversary Pig Roast, complete with meat and a choice of three sides, plus games, music, and a contest or two. No tickets are required, but reservations are always welcome. If we’ve come to expect anything from Brato in these last two years, Spirit Week is bound to be delicious.
