Meet someone the old-fashioned way

Delete the apps for just one night and head down to Tiki Rock on Nov. 20 for its Boston singles mixer. The vibe will be chill and casual (no speed dating), bringing friends is encouraged, and there will be a full cash bar on site if you need a little liquid courage. (Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 7 to 10:30 p.m.; 2 Broad St., Boston; $20)

Learn the grazing table ropes

If you’re a sucker for meat, cheese, and hosting, this charcuterie board-making class at Super Bien on Nov. 20 is for you. Your ticket gets you a two-hour step-by-step on how to create your own 10 x 10 charcuterie spread, all the necessary accouterments, plus a welcome splash of wine. (Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 6 to 7:30 p.m.; 525 Western Ave., Boston; $55)

Trade LinkedIn for linking up IRL

Wednesday night = networking night for young professionals at Cosmica in the South End. The Boston Young Professionals Association will be your hosts, so expect lots of snacks, handshakes, and the chance to flex your resume. (Wednesday, Nov. 20 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.; 40 Berkeley St. Boston; $20)

Watch a blind date unfold on stage

The “It’s a date” comedy show is back Nov. 21 at Dorchester Brewing, where four blindfolded singles will take the stage and let their charms do the seducing. Consider yourself a pot stirrer? You’re in luck. The audience helps turn up the heat by asking bold and flirty questions to nudge contestants to reveal their true selves. (Thursday, Nov. 21 from 7 to 9 p.m.; 1250 Mass. Ave., Boston; $27)

Toast to the holidays at Boston’s jolliest bar

The Holly Jolly Bar at Harpoon Brewery opens for biz Nov. 22, where the halls will be decked at this over-the-top holiday pop-up bar with floor-to-ceiling tinsel, trimmings, and ornaments. Your ticket gets you a 90-minute reservation, plus a holiday-themed welcome cocktail or mocktail. (Opens Friday, Nov. 22; 306 Northern Ave., Boston; Start at $18)

Dust off your ice skates

The Frog Pond may not be open for skating just yet, but you can still hit the ice at Warrior Ice Arena in Brighton (fun fact: it’s where the Bruins skate for practice!). Skates are available to rent on site. (Various dates and times; 90 Guest St., Boston; weekday tickets are $15, weekends are $18)

Level up your Friendsgiving plans

Skip the stress of cooking and clean up. Instead, head to Capo in Southie for its three-course Friendsgiving dinner on Nov. 22. The menu is an elevated fall feast, featuring dishes like pumpkin fries, butternut squash ravioli, and roasted turkey with all the fixings. (Friday, Nov. 22 from 3 to 8 p.m.; 443 W Broadway, Boston; tickets are $50)

Help local families put dinner on the table

It’s the season of giving, and the Allston-Brighton Food Pantry is doing exactly that by giving away turkeys and groceries Nov. 23 so everyone can celebrate Thanksgiving this year. They’re on the hunt for volunteers to greet guests, make food baskets, give out the food, and assist in their thrift store (especially those who speak Cantonese, Russian, Spanish or Portuguese). (Saturday, Nov. 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.; 404 Washington St., Brighton)

Cozy up with a DIY blanket

No knitting needles are required at Craft Loft’s chunky throw blanket-making class on Nov. 22. This two-hour class will show you the ropes on hand-knitting soft chenille yarn into a gorgeous throw that looks and feels amazing on both your couch and lap. (Saturday, Nov. 23 at 5:30 p.m.; 100 CambridgeSide Pl. 2nd floor, Cambridge; $75)

Check out Boston’s trippiest museum

If science and art had a baby, it’d be the new Museum of Illusions in downtown Boston. The museum is set to open Nov. 23 where guests can find a collection of perspective-changing rooms, intriguing installations, and surprising images. Their immersive exhibits play with perception, light, and physics, offering an engaging STEM experience (and equally engaging photo ops). (Saturday, Nov. 23; 200 State St., Marketplace Floor 2, Boston; $38 for adults)
