Despite closing their restaurant in Brookline during the pandemic, Mei Mei has only doubled down on dumplings: Now the beloved Boston-Chinese-American brand is selling their award-winning bundles of joy at local farmers’ markets, pickup spots, and through virtual dumpling making classes.

Occasionally, the family-owned company, helmed by James Beard award-nominee Irene Li, brings the dumpling-making party on the road—and beer lovers in particular may want to mark their calendars for an upcoming event.

Mei Mei is headed for Castle Island Brewing Company’s new South Boston taproom on Thursday, March 24, for a hands-on dumpling-making class followed by a pairing dinner with the hosts, Castle Island. Tickets are $98 and include plenty of homemade dumplings to eat and take home.
