On Sunday nights in July and August, the Friends of Christopher Columbus Park host free outdoor movie screenings. The event is free and open to the public, with no advanced registration required.
The organizers encourage event goers to bring beach chairs, blankets, and a picnic dinner or snacks to enjoy classic movies under the stars.
The full lineup is below. Please note that movie start times get earlier towards the end of the summer.
July 17: “Sandlot” — begins at 8:40 p.m.
July 24: “Dirty Dancing” — begins at 8:30 p.m.
July 31: “Philadelphia Story” — begins at 8:30 p.m.
August 7: “Meet the Parents” — begins at 8:15 p.m.
August 14: “Selma” — begins at 8:10 p.m.
August 21: “Batman Begins” — begins at 8:00 p.m.
