Nantucket Book Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary

There will be signings, readings, and even an author-turned-rockstar concert.

Celebrating a decade of bringing together a community and its love of the written word, the Nantucket Book Festival returns to the island for four days of seminars, readings, author dinners, and meet-and-greets.

Book festival events take place across Nantucket, with locations that include the White Heron Theatre, Methodist Church, White Elephant Brant Point Grill, Nantucket Hotel & Resort, and Atheneum Garden. Guests will enjoy learning more about the works of presenting authors such as Mitch Albom, James McBride, Susie Essman, Mary Karr, and Skip Finley. On Saturday night, a few authors exchange pens for instruments, as they take to the stage to rock out as The Rock Bottom Remainders during a concert at the Chicken Box at 8 p.m.
