The Boston Cup hosts its 11th annual classic cars show on the Boston Common this September, showcasing both American-made and foreign vehicles and celebrating automotive innovations over the decades.

The Boston Cup was started in 2012 by Rich Doucette, a board member of the Mercedes-Benz Club of America and a manager of the New England Region of the Classic Car Club of America.

“When the Trustees of the Reservation discontinued the annual September Castle Hill Concours d’Elegance in 2003 after 8 years, I felt a loss,” Doucette said on the Boston Cup website.

After attending “Speed, Style and Beauty: Cars from the Ralph Lauren Collection” at the Museum of Fine Arts in 2005, Doucette and other classic car enthusiasts were inspired to create the annual Boston Cup.
