Watch the world’s top figure skaters take the ice at Skate America

The Skating Club of Boston will host the three-day event.

For the first time in the elite invitational senior-level figure skating competition’s history, Skate America will kick off the International Skating Union’s Grand Prix Series in the Boston area. All-session tickets are now on sale for the October weekend event hosted at the Tenley Albright Performance Center of The Skating Club of Boston, the third-oldest skating club in the country and a founding member of U.S. Figure Skating.

“We’re excited to kick off the ISU Grand Prix Series in a venue that celebrates the history of figure skating in the United States,” said Ramsey Baker, U.S. Figure Skating Executive Director, in a press release. “Fans will enjoy the great sight lines and intimate setting while watching some of the world’s top skaters take to the ice.”

The schedule includes pairs short program and men’s short program on Friday, Oct. 21; rhythm dance, women’s short program, pairs free skate, and men’s free skate on Saturday, Oct. 22; and free dance, women’s free skate, and skating spectacular on Sunday, Oct. 23.

Former Skate America U.S. gold medalists taking part in the event include Nathan Chen and Vincent Zhou in men’s singles, Ashley Wagner and Mariah Bell in ladies’ singles, Alexa Scimeca Knierim and Brandon Frazier in pairs, and Madison Hubbell and Zachary Donohue in ice dancing.

All-session tickets include access to official practice sessions on Thursday, Oct. 20, and the Skating Spectacular. Remaining single tickets will be available for sale in the fall.
