Santa, shmanta. Just because everything around you is closed for Christmas Eve, that doesn’t mean you can’t get out and mingle. The Jewish singles event MatzoBall is returning to Boston. What started in 1987 by Boston University senior Andy Rudnick as a night for single Jews to have fun on an otherwise uneventful evening is now an annual singles event in multiple cities across the U.S. More than 50,000 people have attended the annual bash throughout its history — resulting in dozens of marriages and relationships. Go with the general admission ticket price of $40 or splurge on $750 for a VIP table with bottle service. Want to pick up the pace? There’s also a virtual “Global Melting Pot” speed dating event on Christmas day.
