Written by Tony Award winner Cole Escola and directed by Tony Award winner Sam Pinkleton, “Oh, Mary!” opened on Broadway in summer 2024 and continues its run at the Lyceum Theatre, according to the Emerson Colonial Theatre.

The production made history as the first show in the Lyceum Theatre’s 121-year history to gross more than $1 million in a single week, according to the press release. It has since broken its own box office record 12 times and became the first show the 2024-2025 Broadway season to recoup its investment.
The show also opened in London’s West End Dec. 18, 2025 to strong reviews, the theater said.
The dark comedy centers on Mary Todd Lincoln in the weeks leading up to Abraham Lincoln’s assassination, portraying a frustrated and overlooked first lady, according to the release. The one-act play reimagines her life and ambitions through a comedic lens shaped by playwright Cole Escola.
