A Pride walking tour this month will let you follow the footsteps of LGBTQ people from Boston’s history and learn about gay and lesbian culture in the city.
The roughly one to two mile walk, put on by Boston By Foot and The History Project, will “explore Thoreau’s walks along the Common; Charlotte Cushman’s cross-dressing roles; World War II bars and baths; and the AIDS memorial quilt project,” according to the event site.
The tours start at the Massachusetts State House steps on Beacon Street, across from Boston Common, and the one-and-a-half hour experience is being offered five times from June 9 through June 23.
