Following the release of Coldplay’s 10th studio album, “Moon Music,” on Friday, the band announced two Massachusetts concert dates on its world tour.
As part of the Music Of The Spheres World Tour, which started out to support the band’s 2021 album of that name, Coldplay initially announced a stop at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough on July 15, and following high demand for tickets added an additional show July 16.
Since starting in March 2022, the tour has sold over 10 million tickets across Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, Australia and New Zealand — making it the all-time highest attended tour by a group, according to a press release.
The band will perform several hits from “Music Of The Spheres” and new singles “We Pray,” and “feelslikeimfallinginlove” from “Moon Music.” Audience members can also expect to hear the band’s classic songs, including “Yellow,” “The Scientist,” “Clocks,” “Fix You,” “Viva La Vida,” “Paradise,” “A Sky Full Of Stars,” and “Adventure Of A Lifetime,” to the backdrop of lasers, fireworks, and LED wristbands.
