The Black and Gold will pay tribute to those fighting for the Red, White, and Blue during the first week of the new year. And in addition to making tickets available to service members, this year they’re also utilizing technology to make the event accessible to those who aren’t able to attend Military Appreciation Night in person.

Anyone with tickets to see the Bruins take on the New Jersey Devils can donate their seats to local military and family members. The ticket exchange is facilitated by the Bruins, with the tickets ultimately distributed by USO New England. They’re currently accepting requests from Active Duty, National Guard, and Reserve members who can receive a ticket for themselves and a guest, and are asked to wear their military uniform.

Those military members who aren’t able to attend must not completely miss out on the festivities, however. The Bruins have planned to station their robot, RoBear, outside the locker room so players can participate in a virtual high five with service members as they take the ice.

Fans looking to contribute can donate their already-purchased tickets, or they can still purchase tickets for the purpose of donating. They can also show their support by purchasing military appreciation products from the TD Garden’s ProShop, or online.
