Winter is when Boston thrives — and Boston Frostival is just the beginning.

The inaugural Frostival returns in full force this February, transforming the city into a cold-weather playground complete with a Ferris wheel, a cozy winter lodge, and a women-led wine festival.

The Frostival kicked off at the end of November with a series of holiday-themed drone shows over Boston Common, and now the festival is expanding its winter programming across several iconic Boston locations.

Continuing the festivities, the Frostival Lodge furnished by Wayfair opens in Copley Square on Feb. 6, while a 75-foot Ferris wheel spins along the Rose Kennedy Greenway throughout the entire month. Together, these activations aim to be “an anchor,” drawing both locals and visitors outdoors, according to a statement shared by Meet Boston CEO Martha J. Sheridan.

“Frostival represents our dedicated effort to reimagine winter in Boston with new and interactive programming that is appealing to audiences of all ages,” Sheridan said.

Below, we’ve rounded up everything you need to know about Boston Frostival and its winter activities.

Location: Copley Square
Date: Feb. 6-28

Visitors can warm up inside the Frostival Lodge furnished by Wayfair, a pop-up winter escape in the heart of Copley Square. While shops and restaurants line the outside, the interior transports guests into immersive, cold-weather destinations — from a Scandinavian retreat to a château in the Italian Alps or a cozy alpine lodge in Quebec.

Wayfair has outfitted the lodge with comfortable cabin-inspired furniture and decor, while Eataly will offer food and drinks worthy of a winter wonderland.

The lodge features six fully furnished living rooms, glass-enclosed fire pits with Adirondack chairs, and a full bar. The lodge also offers programming throughout the month:

  • Weekly trivia nights
  • Kids movie time with silent Disco headphones
  • Small-scale live musical performances
  • Curling lanes and cornhole boards
  • Table-top and group games such as Scrabble, Jenga, chess, and backgammon
  • Sports and Winter Games watch parties.
  • Winter Games-themed and Valentine’s Day-themed Kids Crafts
  • Pasta-making classes for foodies

A full event schedule of events and a preview of Eataly’s menu is slated to be posted on the Meet Boston website.
