Do you respect wood? Do you not understand the compulsion to have people over at your house and serve them food and talk to them? Is most of your life spent trying to avoid the stop-and-chat? Well, then we’ve got a pretty, pretty, pretty good show to recommend.
Larry David, co-creator of “Seinfeld” and the genius behind HBO’s “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” is coming to MGM Music Hall at Fenway April 1 for one of just two in-person shows in conjunction with the 12th and final season of “Curb.” According to Variety, he’ll be joined by a “mystery moderator,” which of course has us guessing who that could be: Jerry Seinfeld? Richard Lewis? Newman?
“Hi everyone! It’s Larry. I’m really looking forward to seeing you all,” said David in a statement announcing the shows. “Just so you know, I’ve recently had plastic surgery on my face and the doctor, who everyone raved about, totally botched it, leaving me devoid of all expression. So if I seem more sour than usual, that’s the reason, but don’t let it stop you from having fun!” That should give you some indication of the discourse you can expect if you go.
“A Conversation With Larry David” takes place Monday, April 1, at 7:30 p.m. at MGM Music Hall at Fenway. Tickets go on sale Friday, Feb. 2, at 10 a.m. via Ticketmaster, with a presale kicking off Wednesday, Jan. 31, at 10 a.m. The 12th season of “Curb Your Enthusiasm” starts this Sunday, Feb. 4, on HBO.
