Boston-area fans of Lady Gaga (known as Little Monsters) will be thrilled to hear that after two years of delays, the pop star’s Chromatica Ball tour is scheduled to stop at Fenway Park at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, August 19.
The singer, born Stefani Germanotta, finalized dates for her worldwide tour on Monday following COVID-19 delays which scuttled her planned tour in both 2020 and 2021.
Gaga also announced eight new tour dates, more than doubling the size of the tour from six cities to 14. The Chromatica Ball Tour now begins July 17 in Düsseldorf, Germany, and finishes September 10 in Los Angeles.
The finalized date means that Gaga officially joins a 2022 Fenway Concert Series which includes Paul McCartney, Zac Brown Band, Aerosmith, and Bad Bunny, among others.
The tour comes in support of Gaga’s sixth studio album, “Chromatica,” which was released in May 2020 and features artists such as Ariana Grande, Elton John, and Blackpink. More recently, Gaga released a collaborative jazz album with crooner Tony Bennett in September 2021, and starred in the Ridley Scott’s “House of Gucci,” for which she received several acting nominations (though not an Oscar nod).
Tickets for Lady Gaga’s Fenway show are currently available on the Red Sox website.
