Apparently comic cons are no longer just for disaffected teens or grown adults dressed as Conan the Barbarian. They’re for kids too — especially if you’re talking about Kids Con New England.

The event is in its ninth year of promoting art education and literacy, and on May 11 will be at the Everett Arena in Concord, N.H offering family-friendly comic and children’s book creators, artists, authors, and creative workshops. And that’s not to mention no shortage of superheroes, Pokemon characters, and “Star Wars” favorites, along with magic shows, Jedi training, art and cosplay contests, a scavenger hunt, and live performances.
