Go to an art battle at Mighty Squirrel Brewing Co.

Art battles combine competition and the artistic process, all in 20-minute rounds.

Painting and lively competition aren’t often two things that typically go hand-in-hand, but at Art Battle Boston they do. Spend a few hours witnessing art in action on Monday, Feb. 7. 

Art Battles are live painting competitions. Artists battle against each other and the clock to make the best piece they can, and then a winner is select.

During each 20-minute round, patrons are invited to move around the easels, watching the pieces come together and observing the creative process. At the end of each of the three rounds, the audience votes to pick a winner and then participates in a silent auction for the honor of taking the work home.

The art battle is hosted at Mighty Squirrel Brewing Co., which has more than 20 beers on tap, a small food menu, four-packs available for sale, and daily food trucks.
