Watch: Big Air at Fenway from a snowboarder’s perspective

Over the past week, the CITGO sign has gotten some competition for skyline dominance around Kenmore Square, as the 140-foot ramp for this week’s “Big Air at Fenway’’ event slowly rose to competition height.

You can’t miss the ramp, whether driving on the Mass Pike or walking around the surrounding Fenway neighborhood, and dozens of photos and videos of competitors practicing on it have emerged. And now, thanks to Lyon Farrell and his GoPro, we can see the jump from the perspective of a snowboarder.

On Thursday at 8 p.m., Farrell (an X Games gold medalist in windsurfing) will be competing in the snowboarding portion of the event, while the freestyle skiing event will take place on Friday at 8 p.m. Both can be viewed on NBC Sports Live Extra.
