Grateful Dead Night is coming back to Fenway Park
The Sox and The Dead together once again.
2015 was a big year for the Grateful Dead, whose remaining members played their final shows this past summer and sparked yet another Dead renaissance 20 years after the passing of lead guitarist Jerry Garcia. The Boston Red Sox, who had a far less eventful 2015, joined in the fun, hosting the first ever Grateful Dead Night at Fenway on September 21.
The night was such a success that the Red Sox are bringing Grateful Dead Night back on April 28, 2016, when the team hosts the Atlanta Braves.

The night will feature a Grateful Dead-themed pregame concert. Last year, this set was performed by local Dead tribute band, Fennario. No details have been released on who will play in April.
Tickets for Grateful Dead Night can be purchased here, as well as VIP tickets which include a special VIP pregame party at the House of Blues and upgraded tickets in a Right Field Roof Box for the game. All ticket-buyers will receive a free Grateful Dead Red Sox T-shirt. Last year’s design can be viewed below.
Proceeds from game ticket sales will benefit the Rex Foundation, the official charity of the Grateful Dead.
