5 reasons not to run on Yoenis Cespedes

Add this to the list of classic blunders: Never test Yoenis Cespedes’ throwing arm.

In his first four MLB seasons, the powerful Cuban outfielder has already played for four teams across both leagues. In each spot, he has given baserunners reason to think twice before trying to stretch doubles into triples or running through a third base coach’s “stop’’ signal. Even when he appears to initially misplay a ball in the outfield — especially when he does that — runners may be wise to remain cautious.

Here are five reasons runners should be weary of challenging Cespedes:
