Donald Trump issues statement addressing ESPN and NASCAR dissociation
In response to media backlash stemming from his inflammatory comments about immigrants, Donald Trump issued a statement Tuesday questioning the decisions by ESPN and NASCAR to distance themselves from him. The presidential candidate says he’ll find ways to profit off the companies’ decisions to move their events off Trump real estate.

On Tuesday, ESPN moved its annual golf tournament, the ESPY Celebrity Golf Classic, from Trump National Golf Club to Pelican Hill Golf Club. NASCAR similarly will not have its season-ending awards ceremony at Trump National Doral Miami.
Trump did not respond to NBC’s dissociative moves. The company ended its business relationship with Trump by pulling him from his television show “The Apprentice’’ and removing him from the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageant broadcasts.
He addressed his original comments about immigrants by saying they were “strong’’ but offered no apology.
