Watch: NFL Network’s Rich Eisen Bids Tearful Farewell to Friend Stuart Scott
Among all the outpouring of love and sympathy and respect for ESPN’s Stuart Scott, who passed away Sunday morning at the age of 49, perhaps none was more poignant than the on-air tribute made by his longtime friend and SportsCenter partner Rich Eisen.
During NFL Network’s Gameday Morning program, Eisen, who has been the face of the league’s in-house cable network since its inception, took a moment to address viewers directly, looking straight into the camera and addressing Scott’s passing with a moving, tearful, impromptu speech that clearly represented an sports TV anchor at his most human.
