FSU Player Says Seminoles’ Cars Were Keyed, Tires Slashed After Rose Bowl Loss

Apparently 29 consecutive wins, a national title, and a trip to the first ever College Football Playoff isn’t good enough for some Florida State football fans.

FSU freshman linebacker Anthony Valdes Tweeted the following on Friday evening, claiming that when the team returned to Florida following their Rose Bowl loss to Oregon, some people had vandalized the players’ cars.

A 25-20 game with 8:07 to play in the third quarter, the No. 3 Seminoles were blown out of the water by Heisman Trophy-winner Marcus Mariota and No. 2 Oregon over the final quarter and a half, as the Ducks scored 34 unanswered points en route to a 59-20 throttling of the defending national champions.

Oregon will face No. 4 Ohio State, who upset the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide in the Sugar Bowl, on Jan. 12 for the College Football Playoff national title.

The Seminoles had won a school-record 29 straight games heading into the Rose Bowl. Their last lost had come back on Nov. 24, 2012, when EJ Manuel and FSU were beaten 37-26 by the No. 6 Florida Gators.
