Now this is Bud Selig’s kind of baseball fan…

A Texas A&M student submitted the following letter to the school newspaper:

With spring break upon us there are a few things students should be warned about, of course drinking and driving and personal safety while at parties, but also that baseball season is right around the corner. Why is this a problem? Well, because most Aggies love baseball, and most Aggies should love Texas. So Aggies should love Texas baseball, right? Wrong! It disturbs me to see so many of you wearing Boston Red Sox hats around campus. Boston? Seriously do you think people at Boston College are wearing Rangers hats? No. So be proud of your state, and let’s turn over a new leaf this season. Show your support of our Houston Astros and Texas Rangers by throwing away those Red Sox hats, and getting yourself a hat from a city you’re actually from (or have at least been to). Gig em’ Stros!

We can safely assume this is one guy who has no problem with baseball’s DirecTV deal.
