Tom Brady referenced his recent mistake in a tweet congratulating LeBron James
"Not bad for a washed up old guy."
Tom Brady managed to make fun of himself, humblebrag, and congratulate LeBron James all in one social media post.
“Congrats to my brother @KingJames on winning his 4th championship,” Brady wrote. “Not bad for a washed up old guy.”

LeBron James, 35, helped the Los Angeles Lakers capture an NBA title on Sunday, noting “I want my damn respect” after winning a championship with his third franchise.
Brady, 43, who has six championships himself, is currently on the hunt for No. 7 – this one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. That quest took a bit of a detour this Thursday, when the Bucs lost, 20-19, to the Chicago Bears.
Late in the game, with Tampa Bay needing a field goal to win, Brady threw an incomplete pass and then held up four fingers, likely indicating he thought the incompletion made it fourth down. In reality, it already was fourth down, so the game was effectively over.
Brady brushed the miscue aside after the game, but now it appears he’s taken the self-deprecating humor route. The image in the tweet shows James in a Buccaneers uniform, holding up four fingers just like Brady did the other day.
