Why Tom Brady’s accidental break-in could cost him and the Bucs

Tom Brady made headlines Thursday when news surfaced that he walked into the wrong house while looking to visit his new offensive coordinator, Byron Leftwich, on April 7. Brady later joked about the business trip-turned home invasion on Twitter, but his mistake could cost him.

It’s not because the pair’s meeting may not have followed social distancing guidelines – according to ESPN, Brady was just coming by to pick up materials – but according to Pro Football Talk, NFL rules dictate that players cannot meet with coaches before the beginning of offseason programs.
CBS reporter Jason La Canforna tweeted Friday afternoon that teams around the league “are miffed” about Brady’s actions, and have alerted league officials to these feelings.
