Boys’ basketball players of the week
Tommy Mobley, Newton North — The junior guard took the stage against crosstown rival Newton South at the Good Sports TD Garden Invitational on Saturday and dropped 35 points, including six 3-pointers. Mobley shot 14 for 20 from the field to lead the now-No. 4 Tigers to a 81-49 rout.
David Giribaldi, Andover — Before Mobley wowed the TD Garden crowd, Giribaldi, a junior guard, torched then-No. 13 Brookline for 26 points to lead now-No.5 Andover to a 57-48 win.
Berry Wu, Newman — Senior guard Chengye “Berry’’ Wu eclipsed the 1,000-point mark with 19 points, 13 rebounds, and 9 assists in a 61-47 win against Rocky Hill School of East Greenwich, R.I. Berry is the first Newman player to reach 1,000 points.
E.J. Santarpio, Attleboro — The senior scored 21 points and added 14 rebounds in the Bombardiers’ 76-58 win over Milford on Saturday. Santarpio also scored 17 points in Attleboro’s upset of No. 1 Mansfield on Thursday.
Will Boisvert, Marshfield — The sophomore guard scored 20 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead Marshfield to a 91-53 victory over Plymouth North on Monday.
Anthony Gilardi, Malden — The junior scored 28 points and added 15 rebounds in the Golden Tornadoes’ dramatic 70-68 win over Beverly on Tuesday.
Tanner Bouchard, Silver Lake — The junior scored 35 points to lift the Lakers over Hanover, 83-71, on Tuesday. Bouchard followed that performance with 28 points against Quincy on Friday, leading Silver Lake to a 62-60 win.
