Rutgers roommates ready for Super Bowl reunion
The Patriots had just won the AFC Championship and were Super Bowl bound. Logan Ryan pulled out his phone and texted his old college roommate, Mohamed Sanu.
“I gave him the little emoji with the two eyes and he gave me the emojis with the two eyes back,” Ryan said.
They were about to have a little college reunion.
Ryan and Sanu, in his first year as a wide receiver for the Falcons, are members of the Super Bowl LI Chapter of the Rutgers Alumni club. A combined five players — Sanu, Ryan, and Patriots safeties Duron Harmon and Devin McCourty and linebacker Jonathan Freeny (who is on injured reserve) — are representing the Scarlet Knights. That’s more than Alabama, more than Ohio State or Michigan, more than USC, or any other college football team.
