It’s hard to take much of what jokesters Rob Gronkowski and Shaquille O’Neal say seriously, but there’s always the possibility that an idea they have may turn into reality.

At the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight Friday night in Arlington, Texas, they floated around the idea of an NBA vs. NFL event.

“I’m talking boxing, fighting, football, basketball,” O’Neal said, via Games with Names.

Gronkowski asked O’Neal if they’re doing retired players versus retired players or active players versus active players, to which O’Neal replied “Either or.”

“I just thought about it, because me and Gronk have been good friends, and he challenged me to a fight,” O’Neal said.

“I’m not really your good friend,” Gronkowski said. “I’m ready to fight your a**.”

They then told each other they love each other and shook hands.

Julian Edelman chimed in and asked why Gronkowski next to O’Neal resembles how he looks next to Gronkowski.

The Dudes on Dudes Podcast, with Gronkowski and Edelman, tweeted out an image of Gronkowski and O’Neal with boxing gloves.

“Hear you might need a dawg in your corner? @RobGronkowski … I’m available,” Edelman wrote.
