NFL free agency officially begins Wednesday at 4 p.m., but the tampering period for teams and representatives for unrestricted free agents to discuss potential deals began at noon on Monday.

NFL free agency officially began Wednesday at 4 p.m. Here is the latest news from around the league:

Todd Gurley will sign a one-year deal with the Falcons, according to ESPN.

The Rams announced that they have officially released running back Todd Gurley and linebacker Clay Matthews.

▪ The Denver Broncos have informed Joe Flacco that he is being waived, ESPN is reporting.

▪ The Eagles are trading a pair of draft picks to the Lions for cornerback Darius Slay, according to ESPN. Slay will sign a three-year, $50 million extension with $30 million guaranteed, upon the execution of his trade from Detroit, Sports Illustrated is reporting.

▪ The Rams have re-signed offensive tackle Andrew Whitworth, according to ESPN.

▪ Former Broncos cornerback Chris Harris is signing with the Chargers, ESPN is reporting.

▪ The Falcons are signing former Rams linebacker Dante Fowler Jr. to a three-year deal worth $48 million, according to NFL Network.

▪ To replace Fowler, the Rams are signing Leonard Floyd, one day after he was released by the Bears, NFL Network reports.

▪ Nick Foles is being traded from the Jaguars to the Bears, according to ESPN. That puts Gardner Minshew in line to become Jacksonville’s full-time starter in 2020.

▪ According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Saints are working out a deal to bring Malcolm Jenkins, recently released by the Eagles, back to New Orleans.

▪ Eric Reid could be out in Carolina, ESPN is reporting.

▪ Philip Rivers will reportedly join the Colts on a one-year, $25 million deal.

▪ According to ESPN, tight end Jason Witten will join the Las Vegas Raiders on a one-year deal.

▪ After the Carolina Panthers sent out a tweet stating that they were giving Cam Newton permission to seek a trade, the quarterback replied to the organization that “You forced me into this.”

▪ The Panthers are close to getting a deal done with Teddy Bridgewater, according to ESPN.

▪ Drew Brees has agreed to a 2-year deal with the New Orleans Saints worth $50 million, according to multiple reports.

▪ Pass rusher Robert Quinn is signing with the Chicago Bears, according to the NFL Network.

▪ The Bills are trading a first-round pick, a fifth-round pick, a sixth-round choice (all in 2020) and a 2021 fourth-round selection to the Vikings for wide receiver Stefon Diggs and a seventh-round pick in 2020, per multiple reports.

▪ The Bears have agreed to a deal with tight end Jimmy Graham according to ESPN, a two-year contract with $9 million guaranteed.

▪ The Colts traded the 13th overall pick in the 2020 draft to the 49ers for defensive tackle DeForest Buckner.

▪ The Baltimore Ravens are trading tight end Hayden Hurst to the Atlanta Falcons, according to ESPN.

▪ The Dallas Cowboys have placed the franchise tag on quarterback Dak Prescott, the team announced.

▪ The Texans are trading wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins to the Cardinals, according to ESPN.

▪ The Browns are adding Austin Hooper, the top free-agent tight end on the market, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

▪ The Patriots will place the franchise tag on guard Joe Thuney.

▪ Kirk Cousins agreed to a two-year extension to remain as quarterback for the Minnesota Vikings, his agent Mike McCartney announced via Twitter.

▪ Offensive tackle Ricky Wagner, released by the Detroit Lions last week, will sign with the Green Bay Packers. The base value is expected to be $11 million over two years, according to ESPN.

▪ The Atlanta Falcons are releasing running back Devonta Freeman, according to NFL Network. The move saved the Falcons more than $3 million on the salary cap.

▪ The Tennessee Titans are keeping Ryan Tannehill, signing the quarterback that led them within a victory of the Super Bowl to a four-year, $118 million extension.

▪ Safety Devin McCourty agreed to a two-year deal to remain with the Patriots.
