The Bruins welcome the Oilers on Thursday night, while the Red Sox and Patriots prepare for difficult weekend opponents.
Here’s a look at a few other stories:
Rob Gronkowski sounds off on Travis Kelce: A Chiefs-Patriots matchup already has a myriad of subplots. Not only are the teams assumed to be among the AFC contenders, helmed by league leading – albeit very different – quarterbacks, but each possess one of the best tight ends in the NFL
Rob Gronkowski, when asked about Travis Kelce, said that he enjoys watching a fellow No. 87.
“He’s quick, he’s shifty, which is very crucial to have. He knows how to get separation and get away from the defender. I like watching him play when I get a chance.”
Does Gronkowski have an opinion on the perpetual attempts to rank the two?
“The rankings, the comparisons and all that, I’ll just leave that up to you guys, whatever you say,” Gronkowski explained. [ESPN]

Albie O’Connell’s journey: Years before he would be named as the next head coach of men’s hockey at Boston University, Albie O’Connell was working at the Berkshire School in Western Massachusetts. Through his “persistence,” he eventually wound up as an assistant under Jim Tortarella at Colby College. From there, O’Connell began a journey through seven assistant jobs in 15 years. It’s led him to his current role at BU, having been named successor to David Quinn (who left to coach the New York Rangers). [Boston Globe]
